COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Conservation Voters of South Carolina will hold its 9th Annual Green Tie Luncheon on Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Grand Hall of Historic 701 Whaley in Columbia.
The Green Tie Luncheon is South Carolina’s premier conservation event of the year and a rare occasion when the state’s conservation, political and business communities join together to recognize public servants and activists for their dedication to conserving our natural assets.
This year’s honorees feature a slate of prominent conservation champions, including Dr. Dave Hargett of Greenville, Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling, Senator Thomas McElveen (D-Sumter), Representative Gary Clary (R-Pickens) and the late Representative Joe Neal (D-Richland).
Attendees will include legislators, state Constitutional officers and agency heads, business executives, and roughly 70 corporate sponsors.
